Schultz & Larsen | Victory Colour Case Hardened
Color case hardening is a heat treating process and one of the earliest ways of hardening steel. Originally, this process used bone charcoal heated to an exact temperature. Afterwards, the parts were removed from the furnace and quenched. The process leaves a hard surface finish and a layer of colored carbon with beautiful color variations. While the process is very controlled and the results are predictable, the exact color combination and pattern is unique to each rifle.
The Victory rifle is a great option for the colour case hardening process. The rifle itself is a beautiful gun, with polished rounded lines and extremely well made components. So to finish it off with the exciting colour combinations is a receipe for success. The finishing touches, such as the trigger and bolt head cap coloured in electric navy blue, really makes the rifle stand out!
The Victory is available in Right or Left hand. The scope rings are made from a different steel and have a different finish, so the results will typically be different, with an overall lighter colour.
Special Order
Currently we are offering the Colour Case Hardened finish as a Special Order only. This process will vary from rifle to rifle, so you'll never see two identical looking finishes.
